Job Description:
One of the nation's leading online financial newsletter publishers,
StreetAuthority.com, is currently looking for a financial writer with a
solid background in the stock and bond markets to assist with the
writing of definitions for our new online financial glossary. We publish
financial newsletters similar to what you might find at Motley Fool or
TheStreet.com. In terms of our organization, we currently employ a dozen
people and send our content to over 55,000 free and fee-paid subscribers
across the globe.
Qualified candidates should be
extremely knowledgeable about the equity markets, should have excellent
writing skills, and should have extensive experience with the financial
markets.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience
and complete understanding of the bond and equity markets.
- Careful attention to
detail.
- 5-10 hours of free
time each week.
- Excellent writing
skills.
- Previous financial
writing experience is a must

This position involves roughly
5-10 hours of freelance work each week, and most work can be completed
on your schedule. Compensation is $12/hour.
Employment duties focus on
financial writing. Specifically, we need qualified people to assist us
in creating content for our new online financial glossary. The content
will resemble such online glossaries as www.investopedia.com and
www.investorwords.com. However, our goal is not only provide a basic
definition, but to also add value by surrounding each topic with
demonstrative examples, references, and investor insight to help the
reader better understand the term.
We are a Maryland-based
company, but we recently relocated our editorial staff to Austin, TX.
However, there is no requirement to live in these locations, as all work
should be completed from your home office.
