Floor Trader

A floor trader is a representative of a member firm who works on the floor of an exchange. Floor traders generally execute orders for their own account, and they must meet the requirements of the exchange in order to trade. These requirements may include the acquisition of a state license, as well as becoming a member of the exchange.
